CEI Award for Excellence in Standardization-Relevant Research
Under the patronage of CEI — the Italian Electrotechnical Committee and Italy’s National Standardization Body within IEC and CENELEC — this award recognizes outstanding research with a clear and direct impact on technical standards and standardization activities in the electrotechnical domain.
Papers are eligible for consideration if they address topics within the scope of the Symposium that are relevant to electrotechnical standardization. This includes, but is not limited to, measurement methodologies, networking and communication systems, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), human exposure to electromagnetic fields, cybersecurity, interoperability, and emerging technologies such as 5G/6G, IoT, quantum computing, and AI-driven systems.
Eligible contributions should demonstrate clear scientific and technical merit, as well as a concrete potential to inform, support, or contribute to the development, revision, harmonization, or implementation of normative documents. Emphasis will be placed on work addressing standardization challenges, regulatory considerations, and the translation of research outcomes into practical guidelines and technical frameworks.
The presenter of the awarded paper will receive a complimentary one-year subscription to CEI standards, providing read-only access.
